Friends are so fragile, so scarce, so rare
When you find one, treat them like you care.
You may hold your friends up to the light
of the sun and see colors, hues, the reflection of
love looking back at you.

But hold the glass too tight
and you began to see the cracks
sun will light them, all the facts.
You start to see the angles, flaws
you never saw; the mistakes, failures
you began to see it all.

But friends of glass do not break alone
but only if you step on them,
or cut them to the bone.

You bend to pick the pieces,
try to put it back,
But, fragile friends NEVER do come back.
So treat your friends with gentle ways
hold gently in your hand
Remember to cherish them with all your heart
Before, they 'break' away.

For My Friend
whom I failed to remember is
made of glass as we all are!
