My Name Lives On
My daughter-in-law Alica told me once if she ever had a little girl she wanted to name her after me (Kathalise). I was honored but figured it was just a polite way of telling me she liked my name. My name Kathalise, came from my two grandmothers. My mother's mother and my father's mother. My full name is Nora Kathalise. I got parts of my name from each grandmother. I never knew either one of them as my mom's mother passed away when my mom was just 6 weeks old. My father's mother passed away when he was around 8 or 9. So, I never had a grandmother in the sense most people do. I had Aunt's and Uncle's who spoiled me and my siblings and a Step Grandmother who is a sweetheart; but I always missed that connection that little girls have with their grandmother.

Well my son and daughter-in-law did have a little girl in November 13, 2004 and yep...........they named her Kathalise. She is as smart as she is beautiful and proud to say she'll be a red head like her grandmother Kathalise and her brother Zach. She is now in Japan with her mom, dad and big brother while my son is stationed in the Navy. I miss her already and all the pictures they send from Japan makes me miss her and Zach more. So this page is for you Kathalise; my namesake, my beautiful smart, eat you with a spoon granddaughter.

I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have bear my name and your great grandmother's before you. I love you and remember it's just you and I. The only Kathalise's in the world!
