There is a new man in my life; he came in with the winds of Ivan and stole me away in a safe spot in his beautiful heart. I had been expecting him and was kind of surprised that he showed up that morning when he did. He arrived in my son and daughter's bathroom at 9:30 AM September 17th, 2004; the day after his sister's 7th birthday on September 16th 2004. It had been a rough couple of days with seemingly one Hurricane after another blowing through Florida and South Alabama. I was sittihg here at my computer when the phone rang that morning. I looked at the caller ID and thought funny my son should be calling so early in the morning on a Friday. I answered the phone and did the usual " Hi what's up" and he did the usual " Hey not much" then he said " He's here" I said "Whose here?" And he said the Baby. THE BABY THE BABY THE BABY.......Oh details, give me details I shouted to him over the phone. I said "When" He answered me " about an hour ago" WHAT.................Now as Paul Harvey says : The Rest of the story.

It seems as if Theresa my beautiufl and herioc daughter-in-law had gone to the bathroom at approxiatmelly 9 AM thinking she would be taking care of private business she wasn't alarmed. Until she sat upon the throne and her water broke. It is approximatelly 9:10 AM. She yells to my son Paul that her water broke, he, I can only assume thought: Get the car. Nope not even close. Now there is a 7 year old girl in the house, a huge bulldog, my daughter-in-law and son. Luckily my son was able to get their neighbor and friend Melissia to come get Kaya (my grandaughter) and brought her to her house. Then Melissia came back and Theresa proceeded to give birth to a 10 pound 22 inch baby boy sans anesthesia and doctors. She is my hero and a wonderful mother to stay calm and get him out and into the world with no power and no meds. (Not her mother-in law-for sure.) Say EPIDURAL.

My daughter-in-law, son and Melissia then proceeded to bring this huge baby into the world on the bathroom floor, cut the cord, tie the cord, and wrap him in a blanket before EMS could get there (and they are 3 blocks from the Hosptial). I have pictures of course of this wonderful beautiful fat little watermelon and he's beautiful. He looks just like his older sister only has a head full of jet black hair. He is officially Rider Sage Frusha and he is so sweet I can't stand it. His big sis Kaya Rain, my oldest grandaughter loves her new brother and is doing a great job helping mom and dad take care of him. She is very proud of her new brother. I personally can't wait until she is 14 and he is 7 and she's beating him up cause he's always in her room. LOL. I am so blessed.

My other son has 10 year old Zachary and "MiniMe" is coming in November (They are naming her Kathalise after me). I got that name from my grandmothers and now she will wear it. Makes me very proud. I am so blessed with my two sons. two daughter-in-laws, 3 and 3/4 grandkids , a husband I love very much, a dog I adore and 2 sisters and one brother that mean the world to me. I may have cancer, but CANCER DOES NOT HAVE ME...........Not when I have all this to live for.
