I have had many joys and many heartaches in my life; but nothing so joyous as the faces of my four grandchildren. I never thought I could love anyone more than my own children; and it's not that I love these kids more it's just with a different intensity. They are beautiful, intelligent and I adore them all.

Zachary is my oldest grandchild who will be 11 in August, then Kaya who will be 8 in September . Rider will be one in September, the day after Kaya turns 8. Then the baby of the family Kathalise (named after me) will be one in November. I love these little people so much and I would give anything to have them with me always.

I never knew when I was a young girl walking down the road in front of my house out in the country in Louisiana that I would eventually let that road lead me to where I am today. Thank you God for taking me down that road and letting me find what I found at the end of it, four of the most beautiful, wonderful little beings you ever put on earth. And I get the privilege of calling them "My Grandchildren".

BLESSED LYRICS:

Hey you, you’re a child in my head
You haven’t walked yet
Your first words have yet to be said
But I swear you’ll be blessed

I know you’re still just a dream
Your eyes might be green
Or the bluest that I’ve ever seen
Anyway you’ll be blessed

And you, you’ll be blessed
You’ll have the best
I promise you that
I’ll pick a star from the sky
Pull your name from a hat
I promise you that, promise you that, promise you that
You’ll be blessed

I need you before I’m too old
To have and to hold
To walk with you and watch you grow
And know that you’re blessed
