There is a tenderness
in you that gives my heart delight.
There is a kindness
that burns like a beacon in the night.
There is a sadness
that touches my very soul;
There is a weariness
from inside that also plays a role.
Women to women
we know the pain
We have stood
out there enduring the rain,
We have crossed
bridges that we burned as we went
We have gone
places we were never ever meant.
We tell each
other secrets in the dark of the night
We make each
other believe that everything's all right;
We hold fast
to the knowledge that we have a friend
And not one
for a week or two, but till the bitter end.
Women to women
we cling to our souls
our minds long
gone, at what cost they were sold.
Our bodies now
desert us, our pleasures they are weak,
not so much
as a tender kiss do we seek.
But, when the
finals over and we leave this world of ours
It's nice to
know we're leaving with something that empowers
Women to women,
we will always be.
Friends, pals
bud's we will be...
